Our Facilities
Aspen Power Catamarans builds inboard and outboard cruisers and yachts in four buildings at the Port of Skagit Airport Business Park just 5 minutes off I-5 in Burlington, WA, USA. The modern, climate-controlled facilities create a safe and efficient workplace where our talented team of craftsmen are focused on efficiently building high quality recreational vessels.

Next Generation of Boat Builders
Aspen is partnering with local and regional organizations to create awareness about careers in the marine industry, as well as inspire talented individuals to explore these careers through a variety of immersive activities. We are always looking for innovative and engaging ways to promote boat building as a career and to attract career-minded talent.

Apprenticeships
Aspen has an active relationship with the Skagit Valley College Marine Tech Institute in Anacortes. Students enrolled in the 1-year certification program, or 2-year degree program, may apply for the Aspen SVC Apprentice Program. Students support their education and financial obligations by working part-time at Aspen in the morning while attending classes in the afternoon. Aspen Apprentices are selected based on their individual talent, as well as their career goals. Aspen Apprentices have the opportunity to work additional hours during school breaks and may be promoted to full-time employment upon graduation from their course of study.

Current SVC Marine Tech students may speak to their instructor about the program. All Aspen candidates may inquire about their eligibility to participate in the program.

Marine Electricians perform a variety of wiring/electrical tasks in the construction of our yachts and cruisers. The job requires a high level of attention to detail and an understanding of electrical components. Tasks include open hull sub assembly, wiring, installing batteries, lighting, navigation systems, audio/visual electronics, and various other components.

The job includes a variety of tasks that will keep you challenged and very active. Aspen production is a team activity. You will be expected to work and communicate effectively with other team members.

The job requires 90% of your energy on boat production and the balance on developing more efficient processes to produce future boats. This is a full-time position.

Successful candidates will have at least 3-5 years’ experience in related field, be drug free and have their own hand tools and basic equipment. We need team players who can follow direction and a plan but are also independent thinkers and doers.

Service Technicians perform a wide range of tasks in the maintenance and repairs of our yachts and cruisers. Tasks include, engine installs, light engine service of wear items, oil changes, shaft alignments, plumbing, wiring, and furnaces. The job requires some heavy lifting, flexibility, and a complete understanding of gas and diesel engine mechanics, as well as how the various boat systems operate.

The job has a variety of tasks that will keep you challenged and very active. Aspen service work is a team activity. You will be expected to work and communicate effectively with other team members.

Successful candidates will have at least 3-5 years’ experience in related field, be drug free and have their own hand tools and basic equipment. We need team players who can follow direction and a plan but are also independent thinkers and doers.

Finish Carpenters perform a wide range of tasks including installation of teak cabinets and vinyl-wrapped panels on our yachts and cruisers. Finish Carpenters in our final assembly job includes a multitude of fine woodwork and detail finishing. Other tasks include cabinet building, sanding, finishing, Corian counter cut/fit/finish, installing, detail trim work, and more.

The job includes a variety of tasks that will keep you challenged and very active. There will also be some leadership required to coordinate with craftsmen staff from the boat building team.

The job requires 90% of your energy on boat production and the balance on developing more efficient processes to produce future boats. This is a full-time position.

Aspen’s lamination team is looking to fill multiple full-time positions. Applicants will have 1-2 years of experience in fiberglass hand lay-up, chopper-gun utilization, fabrication of structural parts, stiffening, painting, and finishing, as well as a basic knowledge of common measuring tools and precision measuring gauges.

Preferred applicants will have experience with new construction, patch, and detail (PND), gelcoat repair, mold preparation and tooling.

The job includes a variety of tasks that will keep you challenged and very active. There will also be some leadership required to coordinate with craftsmen staff from the boat building team.

The job requires 90% of your energy on boat production and the balance on developing more efficient processes to produce future boats. This is a full-time position.

Successful candidates will be self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented. They will be confident and competent technicians who take pride in a job done efficiently and professionally.
